- A Campanian Red-Figured Bell Krater, attributed to the CA Painter, Symposium-Spinazzo Sub-group

- Height 16 5/8 in. 42.2 cm.
painted with a maenad and two satyrs dancing on a rocky ground line, the maenad holding a thyrsos high over her shoulder and a situla in her left hand, one satyr dancing toward her in an expressive pose with his left hand on his chest and a phiale in his hand, the satyr behind her holding a drinking horn and situla, a youth and two ladies on the reverse, the details in added white, yellow, and golden-brown wash.

Condition
Very good and intact. There is a considerable amount of misfiring on the reverse. The white pigment used for the skin of the maenad and the golden-brown pigment for the situla she holds is somewhat darkened and worn.
