Condition

Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, and small losses consistent with age and use. Open age cracks, including two to proper left side, one in coiffure, and another below to temple in front of proper left ear. Old loss to back of proper left ear. Cavity with a cracked element to proper left side of horn (loose). Old lateral crack to center of horn. Other small age cracks in face and coiffure. Insect cavities in interior. Surface of face with erosion and abrasion, consolidated with shallow fill. Glued breaks with some fill to interior and rim behind face. Fine glossy blackened and aged patina.
