Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There are scattered paint losses mostly along the top and bottom edges as well as minute holes on the canvas that are consistent with the artist's choice of medium, notably at the bottom of the fish and on the bouquet on the right hand side. There is craquelure on the canvas, mainly in 3 areas, one left of the vase on the left hand side; along the top right edge; and on the right-hand side vase. One can also see 2 hairline cracks, one 2 cm in length, 6 cm to the left edge and 12 cm to the top; the other 3 cm in length, at the left foot of the right-hand side vase. Inspection under UV reveals one touch up on the right-hand side vase and some scattered minutes ones mostly in the upper right area.
