Condition
This work is in good condition. There are scattered spots of foxing and a small mark of discolouration, both inherent to the aging process. The left most boat also has a grey line along the sail, which is probably a result of the creation process.

Catalogue Note
Note: In 1969 Shiy De-Jinn gave this painting to Lu Ching-Hua as a wedding gift. Mt. Vesuvius in the painting is a metaphor for their eternal love. To this day in Europe, Mt. Vesuvius remains a popular place for newlyweds to take a romantic picture in front of.
