Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There are some minor surface scuffs in the wall near the lower edge. Ultraviolet light reveals strokes of retouching concentrated primarily in the sky and in the red/brown wall near the lower edge of the composition. Some of the retouchings in the sky have slightly discoloured and are faintly visible to the naked eye. The overall appearance of the work is otherwise good.
Presented in a simple gilt frame. The colours are warmer and more luminous overall in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
