Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals some possible minor signs of strengthening in the green pigments to the upper-right of the central bowl and near the pitcher. Apart from a handful of spots of paint flaking, notably one in the cloth towards the lower-left corner (visible in the catalogue illustration) and the others very minor pinhead-sized spots, this work is in good condition. Presented in a decorative stained wood frame, with a gilt and white-painted inner accent.
