Condition
Original canvas. There are some minor scattered fine lines of craquelure localised in the thicker pigments. The only notable retouching visible under ultra-violet light is a small circa 2 by 3cm area of restoration in the sea to the right of the centre. This work is in good overall condition and ready to hang.
The colours are less dull and somewhat more luminous overall in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
Presented in a decorative modern gilt frame.
