Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a pattern of hairline craquelure as visible in the catalogue illustration. The varnish layers fluoresce opaquely under ultra-violet light making the surface difficult to interpret, however viewed under normal light no notable retouchings are apparent and the painting's appearance is good.
The colours in reality are subtler and deeper in reality than in the catalogue illustration, with somewhat less of a yellow-brown cast overall.
Presented in a typical gilt Danish frame.
