- bronze, dark brown patina, on a mottled red marble base
Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. The patina consists of several lacquers, some of which are worn, and there is a slight dryness throughout. Original square sprues are slightly visible to the top of the head and both hips. The figure was cast in sections. Joints are slightly visible at the proper left upper leg and shoulders. The ball was cast separately and is slightly loose.
There are some naturally occurring lacunae in the marble, three of which have been filled.
