Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface, including one or two nicks. There is some minor dark spotting to the patina, including to the face.

Catalogue Note
Marius Joseph Sain was born in Avignon in 1877. He studied under the sculptors Injalbert, Thomas and Feliz Charpentier, and debuted at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in 1903. His work can be found in the collections of the musée d'Avignon and the musée du Petit Palais in Paris.
