Description

  • Table Lamp with a Mosque and a Worshipper
  • stamped twice with the B for Bergman and with two decorative Arabic inscriptions
  • cold painted bronze, with coloured glass, on a veined grey marble base, with modern light fittings

Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some minor wear to the paint, including some rubbing and slight flaking in areas. The bronze is cast in sections, as such there are slightly visible original joints and screws (there is a missing screw to the back of the dome). The glass is in good condition, there is one window in the minaret without a glass panel, which may have been lost. The crescent on the minaret is slightly loose and one of the projecting sticks is also loose. There are small chips to the edges and corners of the marble base.
