Catalogue Note

The maps in this edition are from the same blocks as the editions of 1522, 1525 and 1535, but with the descriptive text omitted from several of the maps. Many copies of this, as well as the edition of 1535, are said to have been destroyed on Calvin's orders at the time of the execution of Servetus.
