Condition
Overall in very good condition. The patinated bronze surfaces display an exceptionally deep and rich russet brown and green layered patina. The bronze surfaces with some occasional light surface scratches and rubbing to the patina consistent with age and gentle handling. With some minor traces of surface soiling to the recessed contours of the lily pad design and the twisted vine motif of the mirrors frame, and with a few isolated traces of surface residue on the base. The mirror retains its original inset silvered glass mirror plate. The mirror shows one small isolated irregularity to the outer perimeter border along the lower proper left border, measuring ¼ x ½ inch. This appears on the reverse side of the glass and does not extend to the front exterior surface, and appears to be a small surface fleck and/or silver loss on the reverse. A beautiful example of this elegant design distinguished by its highly naturalistic portrayal of the cast lily pads and displaying an exceptionally rich and satisfying patina.
