Description

  • Tiffany Studios
  • Pair of Andirons
  • patinated brass and wrought iron

Condition

Overall in very good condition. The patinated brass elements display accents of a rich russet brown patina throughout. The brass surfaces with light surface scratches, abrasions, minor surface pitting and areas of soiling and darkening to the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and use. The rear iron log holders have been repainted and display surface irregularities consistent with prior use. These andirons have retained all of their original elements, including the original ornamented circular handles which were lacking for a related pair offered in these rooms. These andirons present beautifully with great presence, displaying exceptional casting to the acanthus and foliate decoration.
