Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good. There is wear and some minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. The patina consists of layers of colored lacquers with some areas of flaking and rubbing, including around the lower edge of the base. There are a few minor nicks including to the bird's wings and the figure's proper right elbow. The underside of the bronze was filled with plaster and the marble base fitted with a wooden board so that the bronze can be displayed in a stable manner.
