Condition
The painting has an old relining. The varnish has yellowed over time and the painitng would no doubt benefit from a cleaning. Apart from a few spots and lines of old retouching in the lower sky, notably to what appears to be a small repaired tear or scratch in the lower right, visible under ultra-violet light, the painting is in good condition and has not been touched for many years. Held in an ornate French Salon-style carved gilt wood and plaster frame.
