Condition

This early print, on double-weight paper with a glossy surface, is in generally excellent condition. The print is trimmed to the image, and there is a tiny loss of emulsion along the right edge. On the reverse of the print the photographer's printing notations 'ap 20 + 10' and '3' are in pencil. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce. This photograph is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Rondal Partridge, signed and dated '23 July 95.' It reads: 'This vintage Imogen Cunningham contact print of Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Virginia, 1934 has Imogen's characteristic darkroom printing notes. The other notes, added later, are in an unknown hand. This is authenticatd by Rondal Partridge, Imogen Cunningham's son, Trustee of the Imogen Cunningham Trust.'
