1916 De La Rue “Hoe” Press 2s6d brown, unique Registration block of 36 with full sheet margins

a complete sheet less the upper left corner block of 4, Plate mountings in the right and lower margins, part of the reversed Plate Number in the upper margin, marginal thin alongside Position 40, otherwise full original gum.

Typed endorsement on the reverse reading:

 

“This sheet of forty 2^s/6^d Postage stamps was this day printed on a “Hoe” press in my presence by Messrs De La Rue & Co. for registration.
