Condition

The icon is probably one of the sides of a processional icon. Three restored vertical cracks running from top to bottom through the icon. The levkas on the borders of the icon missing. The background regilded. Larger areas of repainting and restoration throughout the icon, especially to the face of St George, the armour of St George, the rocks, segment of heaven in the upper right border and the body, wings and head of the dragon, as well as to the saddle of the horse.
