repoussé with three Imperial eagles within foliate scrolls, three scroll handles and feet, the neck set with cabochon garnets, the base rim engraved 'William Wahl "Jolanda II" 1911', 84 standard

Condition

Excellent condition, with light wear to the exterior gilding consistent with age and handilng.

Catalogue Note

A nine-metre Finnish vessel built in 1911 and belonging to William Wahl, Jolanda II, competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics which were hosted by Sweden.  Twenty-four yachts entered from Denmark, Finland, Russia, France and Sweden, with races held off the Swedish coast at Nynäshamn.
