of flattened egg form, the surface of translucent strawberry red enamel over hatched engine-turning, entrelac-chased lid border, the side with striker, struck with workmaster's initials, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 14714
Provenance
Purchased by Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna on 15 April 1919 for 50 roubles.
Condition
There are two small enamel losses at the lid, both of which go down to the metal, hence the low estimate. Please contact the Russian Department for photos. Otherwise, the object is in good order. Please note that the actual colour of the enamel is richer and darker than in the catalogue photo.
