Description

cylindrical, standing on a waisted socle, the surface enamelled overall in black-lined and translucent deep purple over wavy prismatic engine turning and mounted with silver-gilt festoons, margents and borders of fructed laurel, the dial with Arabic chapters enamelled in translucent white over moirĂ© engine-turning, the finial with double-headed eagle, 84 standard

Condition

Excellent condition. The enamel with two small spots of restoration, the first to the top of the cylinder at 11 o'clock, the second to the lower rounded edge at 2 o'clock. The gilding worn consistent with age and handling, the festoons very silghtly loose. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the timepiece movement.
