God the Father portrayed as the Ancient of the Days with long grey hair and beard, seated on a throne within an octagonal glory and circular nimbus, raising his hand in benediction, the Christ Child seated on his knees wearing a cruciform halo, signing in benediction with both hands, over his head the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, the throne and cherubs depicted en grisaille, the Apocalyptic personifications of the four Evangelists in the four corners

Condition

The border of the icon stripped down to the levkas, a vertical crack running from top to bottom through the panel, some wear to the painting, some new patches of levkas applied, some minor flaking of the paint, some retouching to the painting
