rounded rectangular, the surface enameled in translucent royal blue over a sunburst guilloché ground, with chased gold foliate bands about the borders and gem-set thumbpiece, also with a separately hinged vesta compartment with strike plate affixed to interior and a tinder compartment, the interior gilded, struck with workmaster's initials, Fabergé in Cyrillic and 88 standard
