Acquired directly from the artist by the father of the present owner in Moscow in the 1960s

Condition

The board appears sound. There are very minor abrasions and scuffs around the edges. The paint surface is slightly dirty. There are a few small circular indentations to the upper right section of the canvas. There is a fleck of paint loss to the right, below the foot of the vase. There are three minor scratches, one to the waist of the vase approximately 6cm in length, second to the lower right corner approximately 13cm in length, and a further light small scratch to the upper left corner. UV light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a wooden slip frame. Unexamined out of frame.
