Provenance

Acquired by the grandfather of the present owner in St Petersburg in the 1910s.

Condition

The canvas has been laid on board. The board is slightly bowed in the lower half. There is a light layer of dirt. There is very minor paint shrinkage to some of the impasto. There are some minor areas of paintloss to the top right hand corner of the canvas and along the sky. There is minor damage to the canvas in the lower left hand corner. Held in an ornate gold paster frame. Unexamined out of frame.
