The complete portfolio, comprising 12 lithographs printed in colors, with text by Miguel de Cervantès Saavedra, 1956-57, this copy an artist's proof, aside from the total numbered edition of 197, with the original prospectus HISTOIRE D'UN GRAND LIVRE (M./L 1013; F. 57-2), containing one lithograph printed in colors, with accompanying text, published by Joseph Foret, Paris, all on BFK Rives paper, contained in the original paper wrappers, blue cloth-covered boards and slipcase (13 prints)

Condition

The prints are in good condition, the full sheets, most printed to the edges. The verso of a few sheets with scattered tiny foxing along one sheet edge, infrequent off-printing on some text pages. The fabric on the spine of the boards and edges of the slipcase attenuated.
