The complete terre de faïence service, comprising a platter, 12 bowls, 12 plates, and a soup tureen, 1947, each inscribed 'Edition Picasso' and numbered 43, from the edition of 300, each glazed and painted in colors, the platter (A.R. 3) also inscribed 'd'après Picasso', the bowls and plates with the Madoura and d'après Picasso stamps, the tureen base also with the Madoura stamp (26 ceramics)
Condition
The ceramics are in good condition. Minor imperfections in individual items as follows:
Platter (A.R. 3)- with a small discolored imperfection in the glaze on the rim, possibly inherent.
Bowl (A.R. 5)- lacking a band of glaze at the perimeter of the underside of the bowl, an imperfection inherent to the process, but the unglazed portions with slight surface soiling.
Plate (A.R. 23)- the glaze on the underside darkened.
Tureen (A.R. 22)- a small chip on the inside lip of the tureen base, a small area of adhesive remains on base at side.
