The complete portfolio, comprising 23 lithographs printed in colors, and text by Rainer Maria Rilke, 1968, each signed in red with brush, also signed and dedicated on the justification, numbered 'HC II', one of 10 hors commerce impressions reserved for the collaborators (aside from the edition of 200), on Richard de Bas paper, with text on Arches and the unsigned headpiece, printed by Atelier Mourlot Ltd., New York, contained in the original linen-covered case (23 prints)
Condition
The prints are in good condition, with full margins. The sheets with pale time stain at the edges, and off-printing. Plate 10 is darkened recto. Plate 9 has a single fox mark below the signature, plate 13 occasional pale foxing on the verso, and 16 an infrequent, unobtrusive tiny fox mark (plates 2 and 12 with similar on the verso only). The verso of plate 21 with scattered stray ink.
