Condition
In overall good conserved condition and can be placed immediately. Colour overall slightly lighter, more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. There are some minor water stains to the tops which would benefit from a repolish. There are old minor restorations to the veneer, especially to the top which have red coloured infill which would benefit from some further attention. There is a horizontal construction crack running across one top which has been restored in the past and is opening up again and some other smaller cracks and patches to the veneer at the top. There is also, on the other table, a horizontal construction crack which partially runs across the top and which is opening up again and would also benefit from some attention. There are construction cracks generally at the joints, commensurate with age, which can either be filled or left. The top of the rear right leg when facing, on one table has been restored by the inner scroll. The rear right leg and foot on the other table have also been restored towards the back. The friezes have been strengthened at the back. On one of the tables, there is a slight variation in the background carving of the stippled side friezes.
