Description
- fruitwood, tulipwood, walnut, pine
- each 74cm. high, 86cm. wide; 2ft. 5¼in., 2ft. 9¾in.
each with a serpentine hinged top inlaid with a cartouche enclosing a cartouche, above a frieze drawer, on scrolled cabriole legs terminating in hoof feet
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. There is a very slight variation in colour of the tops which could be due to the fact that one is more polished than the other. The wood is slightly dry looking and would benefit from a repolish according to taste. There are some hairline cracks generally which have been restored in the past and there is a construction crack to the inside of the cartouche internally which will need filling. There are some very minor restorations to the veneer and two of the feet which is very minor and hardly noticeable. The cartouche inside one top is slightly more distressed than the other and would benefit from a repolish.
