Condition
In overall good conserved condition. A very rare pair. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches as visible from the catalogue photograph. Some very old minor retouching to lacquer in places where there has been some minor chips. A yellow lacquered scroll to the left of the front frieze on one table is probably recarved as visible from the reverse as it is of a different colour to the rest. The rear left leg of the same has a restored break, but this has been well executed and is hardly noticeable. The lacquer has some very minor retouching. Charming detail to the lacquer decoration.
Marble tops; Colour slightly darker with more contrast more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches which are hardly noticable and there is a minor restoration to rear left corner of one table and a miniscule one to the rear right corner of the other which are hardly noticeable due to the mottling of the marble.
