Description

  • glass
  • each 78cm. high, 46cm. wide; 2ft. 6¾in., 1ft. 6¼in.,
each with three scrolled candlearms, one with a female figure in drapery, the other with a later plate with a figure in armour and a tunic; formerly fitted for electricity

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. There are some very minor losses to the glass generally eg. to both flowers and the acanthus leaf and scroll on the apron of one. Old crack to the wooden backing to a scroll at the top of one. On the other the bottom flower and the acanthus have sections chipped off and there are some other minor losses to the glass. The detail to the engraved plate with the one with the female has been lost in the main as visible from the catalogue photograph. There is a section of glass at the back of the central candlearm of one which looks a later replacement. There is a small flowerhead section beneath the nozzle of one which is missing a leaf and a section flanking the screw.
