with Chenghua mark but later, probably 17th century, together with three smaller 'lotus' dishes, each on a raised foot, 17th/18th century (each 12cm. diameter; 4¾in.)

Condition

The large lotus dish has wax deposits on the interior and rim, and old cellotape around the whole of the footring. Apart from surface wear, small chips to the extremities and minor firing imperfections such as kiln grit and fritting, the dish is in good condition. There is an Eskenazi, Milan label to the reverse. One of the three smaller dishes have two-thirds of the rim broken and restored, with overpainting visible along the seams. All three are in good condition apart from minor glaze firing imperfections such as fritting, grits and iron spots.
