Description

together with a hexagonal shaped cinnabar lacquer container (5cm. x 6cm. x 6cm.)

Condition

The rectangular lacquer box and cover is in reasonable condition, with some chips along the rims of the box and the cover, the largest measuring 1.5x0.3cm. There is a 4cm C-shaped crack to one long side, and an adjacent 1.5cm crack next to it. The top of the cover has a small area of loss to the bottom left of the central medallion. There are minor nibbling along the extremities. The lacquered ceramic vessel is in overall good condition with the exception of rubbing to the extremities and surface wear.
