Description

  • Ilse Bing
  • FOKKER PLANE
  • Gelatin silver print
signed and dated in ink on the image, hinged to a mount with the photographer's 'Ilse Bing Paris 1933' stamp, 1933 (Ilse Bing: Three Decades of Photography, p. 57)

Condition

This early warm-toned print, on lightly textured paper with a slight surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. The print is hinged along the left edge with cloth tape to a buff card mount that is folded over at the left, with staples (now rusty) holding the hinges in place through the fold. When examined closely, tiny, expertly-applied deposits of original retouching are visible on the image.
