Condition

This photograph, on slightly-warm glossy paper, is in generally very good condition. Upon close examination in high raking light, the following are barely visible: hairline surface scratches; and tiny matte deposits, some of which appear to be original retouching. Faint silvering is also visible in raking light, primarily in the dark areas. This photograph is mounted to thin beige board that is appropriately age-darkened at the periphery and on the reverse. The mount corners are bumped or creased, there is a small tear along the upper mount edge, and a tack-hole in the upper left corner of the mount. On the reverse of the mount, there are 4 small abrasions to the upper paper-ply. The number '81' is written twice in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse. A print of this image is in the Sonya Noskowiak Archive at the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, donated by the photographer's brother.
