Condition

This early print, on matte-surface paper, is in generally excellent condition. The print is trimmed to the image, and there is wear to the edges and corners with occasional chipping. In raking light, faint silvering in the dark areas is visible. On the reverse of the mount are a tiny brown deposit and light abrasions at the upper edge from prior hinges. Also on the reverse in an unidentified hand in pencil are the following annotations: 'c. 1934'; '#2'; 'BL 857'; and 'WE. 29.' When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
