the photographer's 'Photo R. Parry / 18 rue A, Gervais, Issy - Seine' studio stamp on the reverse, circa 1929

Provenance

The Julien Levy Collection, purchased from Jean Farley Levy for the Museum by Lynne and Harold Honickman, 2001

Condition

This photograph is on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface. The central and right portion of the image is warm-toned. The print is trimmed to the image, and there is minor wear and chipping along the upper and lower edges. There is a 1/4-inch fiberous white adhesion in the central area of the image. Upon close examination in raking light, a few pen-point-sized impressions that do not break the emulsion are visible overall. On the reverse of the print, '#6' and '768.1977 AIC' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
