Condition
On paper laid down on canvas. there are some thinness noticeable in center of rose, pink carnation, strawberries and glass vase. However, the paint surface is mostly well retained and composition reads well overall. ultraviolet light reveals a retouching on lower part of rose, a few here and there in background. there is retouching along a small diagonal crease in the paper at upper right corner. also a small area of retouching at lower left corner.
Offfered in an elaborately carved and gilt wood frame with a few losses to the gilding.
