Condition
The canvas has an old, loose relining.
The paint surface has signs of old lifting but is now secure, if somewhat abraded, under an old, dirty varnish.
Inspection under UV light reveals significant areas of retouchings and strengthening, most notably to the background areas and to an old restored vertical damage of approx. 18 cm. in the centre of the left margin.
Offered in a carved wooden frame in good condition.
