Lorenzo Gramiccia

These charming scenes of domestic daily life in Venice are inspired by Pietro Longhi, the leading painter of genre scenes in Venice in the second half of the eighteenth century. The paintings may be compared to Gramiccia's signed work in the Museo di Udine (see T. Pignatti, Pietro Longhi, Venice 1968, p. 397, reproduced fig. 444).
