Condition

Laid down. Overall in fairly good condition. A horizontal crease running through the centre of the sheet - perhaps due to where it was once folded. Several small holes in the sheet that have been filled in/made up. Colour still good and image strong and powerful.

Catalogue Note

Cigoli had numerous pupils and had a strong impact on the style of many Florentine artists. The use of blue wash is also a characteristic of Cigoli's drawings.
