Condition

In each of these works the colours are remarkable for their freshness and it would seem that they have not been exposed to an excessive amount of sunlight. The occasional small scratch to the surface of the sheet is visible and there are some minor areas of paper discolouration. In 'The Contrast' there is a small horizontal fold which runs across the centre of the sheet. There has been some minor pigment loss to this area. In 'The London Dentist' there is some pigment loss in the upper left hand section of the sheet. Both works appear to have been cut down a little at the lower margins.
