Catalogue Note

Attributions to Johannes Ruisscher and Philips Koninck have been suggested, but neither can be maintained, and this very good mid-17th century landscape must for the time being remain anonymous.  It has also been proposed that the castle in the centre may be Kasteel Ubbergen.
