Condition
A little light foxing and surface dirt, but overall condition good. Sold in a carved and gilded frame.

Catalogue Note
Although Momper usually delineated the forms of details such as leaves in a slightly more regular manner, there are a few of his drawings in which we see very much the same animated - at times almost frenzied - handling. Perhaps the most striking example is a fine Rhine landscape, which was similarly worked up in blue wash.1
