Condition
Oil on canvas, with a very old lining. The edges of the original canvas are visible at the extreme edges in the current framing. The picture surface is dirty with an old yellowed varnish. There is a web of fine craquelure across the surface and some minor abrasions along the extreme edges. There is a small area of loss in the sky at upper right; a line of abrasion and very minor loss in the sky at upper left; a small loss just above the tree at far left; and some very small scattered losses associated to the craquelure in the foliage along the lower left edge. One spot of house paint along the upper right edge. Under UV light, there is an old lightly green fluorescing varnish with a few very small scattered older dots of retouching visible, mainly in the sky.
