Oil on canvas with an old lining. There is pigment separation throughout and restorations visible to the naked eye (as in the baby). There is a raised horizontal canvas seam extending across the canvas a few inches below the upper edge. Surface dirt. The canvas may have been rolled at one time. Under UV light, there is a green fluorescing varnish with inpaints scattered across the picture surface.
