Relined and under a dirty, discolored old varnish. The surface is in generally good condition aside from some lifting and a few tiny losses in the upper part of red curtain. Overall, the paint surface has been well preserved and the figure reads very well. Under UV; some scattered retouches in her black dress and some small retouches to fingers or hand at right. A few others scattered in background with a larger area in red curtain just to the right of her face.
