Anonymous sale, Sotheby's London, December 11, 1974, lot 16, as ascribed to Piazzetta.

Condition

Window mounted and possibly laid down on paper. There are some areas of light brown staining, more visible to the upper left margin. There are some light brown stains to the boy's hat and what appears to be an oblique stain running from the boy's eye to his neck. There are two small abrasions to the sheet, one located to the upper left corner and the other at level with the flute towards the right margin. Overall in good condition with chalk remaining fresh.
